Together

Finally I've updated something--started working for Mojo Game Studios as a Concept Artist and I've been really busy!! :D We're working on an epic game called Aderyn's Cradle, an open-world fantasy adventure game coming to the PC. It's amazing. Check it out here: mojogamestudios.com

Finally got to do a quick thing on my own though! Here you are :)

Environment Thumbs

Phew, haven't gotten to paint in a while!! I enjoyed doing these a lot, and on top of that I've improved SO much in the last few months comparing them to old thumb batches, so that's awesome! Very happy with these and can't wait to do more, and see which one turns into a painting! :)

Beach sketch

Practice, inspired by a 5am trip to the beach a few days ago. Some wild horses ran right by us, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Concepts & things

Been working really hard on my concept and design skills. Developing assets, styles and functionalities for specifics from my painting, "Mecca" (bottom). Has been a really challenging project but I have learned a hell of a lot, not the least of which that I enjoy this type of thing and never thought I did before. Learning all the time. :)

Also, been doing stuff to submit to Wizards of the Coast for their art test. Another huge design (and painting!) challenge! One of the tests was to do a concept for an Orc Cook--if nothing else, a monumental learning experience.

This summer has been awesomely productive. I don't really want to go back to school--will be a distraction ;)

More updates comin'.

Keep walking or you'll never see the end.

Really just a sketch to try a few things, mostly depth and perspective practice. Nothing fancy

You can still see the grids I used because I was a dummy and merged the layers. :D
